Why Private Yoga?                                             

While Pamela is an intuitive yoga teacher who improvises her classes based on the needs of her students, private instruction gives you the most personally tailored and guided experience. Here are some great reasons to start out with a package of Private Yoga Sessions, Guided Breathwork and Meditation or customized package of Well-Being Life Coaching and/or Yoga Therapy sessions:

  • Happiness is as accessible as the air we breathe and is also very much dependent on our relationship to our breath. Mindfulness, which is a mind full of heart (aka that place where we and all of nature connect and are equals), just like its offspring happiness, begins with our relationship with ourselves. Well-Being is the state of happiness, health, peace, abundance and prosperity that should be our ultimate life's purpose and priority. It is something only we can choose for ourselves to be present for and begins with our intention to make it our purposeful priority and take actions accordingly that feel right for us. Some of these may include nutritional improvements, yoga and other movement practices, meditation and mindfulness practices, and fostering connection within and with all via frequent communing with nature, appreciation for art both natural and creative, and self-expression / creativity.   • If you are a beginner to yoga, you will benefit from a combination of private instruction and coaching that will expand your awareness of yoga as the wholistic union that it is, something that is easily missed by just attending yoga asana classes alone. Moving with your breath is a critical component of yoga as are the unseen mental/ emotional and spiritual aspects that we will dive into deeper during private yoga therapy coaching sessions. Breath-work is its own science that should be understood and put into practice with or without a yoga asana practice, as our breath, our "prana" or "chi", is our "life force", our vitality.

  • Every body is different. While human anatomy is a science based on our similarities as human bodies, we each have uniqueness to our anatomy as well. Working one-on-one in a private session can help you identify the proper alignment and options to take for particular postures and will also tailor specific sequences to your needs for your home practice. We each have had differing life experiences which have included injuries, illness and other traumas which may be affecting our body's needs as well. A private session can help you to avoid future injury and avoid unintentional triggering of trauma responses, so that you can get the most out of your yoga and other self-healing practices. A custom yoga therapy session will go even deeper to reduce negative symptoms and  prevent progression.
